How to Make Senior Year Easier

Senior year was something I was completely unprepared for, and I’m still suffering through it until May. So I wanted to help some of the people that are going to be seniors next year or know someone that is going to be a senior in high school next year.

  1. Go to your senior counselor at the beginning of the year and ask about scholarships, fill out everyone you apply for.
  2. Ask your counselor about which college is right for you find out tuition, living, books, location, and if it has your degree.
  3. If you don’t know what you want to do yet that’s okay, just go for community college and get your basic classes out of the way while you figure out your career plan.
  4. Find out which teacher handles all of your graduation fees, gowns, and accessories, get all of that paid and put all the due dates in your planner.
  5. Get your AP fees and requirements straightened out with your teachers and find out when the exams are at the end of the year.
  6. Make sure your after high school life is planned, know if you are moving out, going to college, going into the work force, just know what you are going to do.
  7. STUDY. your grades are so important its the last chance you get and you don’t want to be that one kid that had to go to summer school.
  8. Get your prom plans done, so that you aren’t planning it the day before and rushing because you want the night to be perfect.
  9. Do your homework as soon as you get it, it eliminates stress like you wouldn’t believe.
  10. Most importantly, take care of yourself, your health comes first. Do your nails, keep up with your food and exercise because when you eat bad you feel bad, get a facial, get a massage, you deserve it.
